MVP Black Hole Lite Practice Basket
A 24-chain portable basket that packs down into six assembly sections.
WHY COMPARE THIS MODEL
A 24-chain portable basket that packs down into six assembly sections.
The Black Hole Lite is a portable metal practice basket for a temporary setup at home or away. Its 24 lightweight chains and standing round base give it a different configuration from the 12-heavy-chain Black Hole Precision. Chain quantity and chain weight are separate features; neither alone establishes a better catch rate.
The basket breaks into six named sections: base, lower pole, cage, upper pole, chain rack and top cap. MVP describes quick assembly with detailed instructions and compact disassembly for transport. Three optional ground stakes are included even though they are absent from the main product photo. The listed item weight is 26 lb.
The listing calls it standard PDGA size and includes a PDGA -approved claim, but no independent approval record was checked for this exact basket. If sanctioned-event use determines your choice, verify the exact model and required approval separately. For a more concentrated target area, compare the Precision’s documented 13 in band and 12 in chain-tier dimensions rather than assuming all Black Hole models have the same geometry.

Where this model is useful
- Six assembly sections allow compact storage, with three optional stakes supplied for setup.
- 24 lightweight chains provide a distinct configuration to compare with Precision’s 12 heavy chains.
Trade-offs to check
- No independent catch-rate, assembly-time or approval test is supplied.
- The generic thickness field does not establish basket dimensions.
What to check before choosing
Choose target geometry
Compare the full practice format with Precision’s explicitly narrow top/chain area.
Verify event requirements
Confirm the exact model’s applicable approval if sanctioned-event use matters; a seller claim alone is not independent certification.
Your questions about this product
Are the ground stakes included even though they are not in the photo?
Yes. The feature bullet expressly includes three optional ground stakes.
How does it break down for transport?
The seller names six sections: base, lower pole, cage, upper pole, chain rack and top cap. They form one basket that can be taken down to a compact/flat format.
Is 24 chains automatically better than 12 heavy chains?
Not by itself. These are different chain configurations; no controlled catch-rate comparison is established.
Is this basket suitable for a sanctioned event?
The seller claims PDGA approval, but the exact official model record has not been checked here. Confirm the approval required by your event before relying on that claim.
